Rachel Lynn Golden, PhD

Rachel Lynn Golden, PhD is a Clinical Psychologist whose work centers gender-affirming and inclusive practices with gender and sexuality-expansive individuals and their families, and with gender and sexuality expansive-individuals who are incarcerated. Rachel developed the New York State Transgender Identity Program at the New York State Office of Mental Health that provided gender-affirming mental health care to individuals incarcerated within the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Services. Rachel currently serves on the New York City TGNCNBI People in Custody Task Force, and provides expert witness services for cases involving LGBTQ2IA+ individuals and their families. Rachel and Jae Sevelius co-founded the Flourish Research Collaborative, where they act as Co-Principal Investigators on studies related to psychedelics and gender-affirmation. Rachel is the founder and director of Golden Psychology, a private practice in New York City that provides trauma-informed therapy including Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy with a goal of reducing suicidality and self-harm and promoting healing within gender and sexuality-expansive communities. There, Rachel provides supervision and training to clinicians with the goal of supporting their growth and provision of gender and sexuality affirming psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Rachel and the Golden Psychology Team provide training nationally and internationally on gender and sexuality expansiveness and affirmation in legal, academic, and medical settings. Rachel is licensed in NY, NJ and PA.
